OUR STORY

Her Story

Reina grew up in Santa Fe, NM with her sister and brother, Blaise and Colton, then she went to school, but her teacher got fired so she went to another school, then she danced about in a theater and went to middle school which turned into high school where she took over running the place (I mean, umm... running student council) and she fought with teachers about stupid rules (and won) so she got to plan all the events for Junior Prom, but she didn't have a date so it's good that her friends and Rob's friends decided they should go together and made a plan to ask her to the dance using a giant sign, about twelve other people, a question mark t-shirt and some pretty white lilies -- which is one of Reina's favorite flowers -- so she was totally surprised and said she would love to go to the dance with him even though she barely knew him despite their having been going to the same school for nearly five years, then a lot of other stuff happened like college and careers and moving to Chicago and eating a lot of cupcakes and six and a half years after their first date he asked her to marry him (and he was wearing the same question mark t-shirt) and she said "yes" so they're getting married this April and you are reading this ridiculous run-on sentence.

His Story

Rob grew up in Santa Fe, NM with his brother Danny. He went to a variety of schools as a child, and ended up at St. Michael's for junior high and high school. Little did he know he'd share his first class in 7th grade with his future wife! Not that he talked to her more than once in the five and a half years before he asked her out. Well, in Junior year Rob was trying to find a date for Prom and struck out three times. He should have listened to his friends from the beginning, because they happened to know that the organizer of the whole thing was an awesome person who still didn't have a date! It was getting close to the last minute so he knew he had to go big. He guessed right with the white lilies, and his friends had the brilliant idea of the big sign and the question mark t-shirt. From their (and his) first kiss at the dance, to the ballon splatter painting they made together, to the hearts they drew on each other, high school was much better when they were together. They made it through the long distance of college, his first year of teaching, and a closet of a city apartment. When the balloon painting went up in their new place he had on the question mark t-shirt and another big question for Reina. She said "yes" and now, as she always said, it's time to have a party!
